Diogo Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabián Estoyanoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the game, Thomás de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Landulfos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Peñarol FIFV the free kick. Thomás de Barros hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Cleiton Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Fabián Estoyanoff in the 42nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Diogo Ferraz's left hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Arlindo Vargas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilio Alberete hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Martins in the 54th minute of play. Diogo Ferraz made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Leo Fernández sent off a good shot on target. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's Ladislao Mazurkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Martins in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Martins in the 60th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Ladislao Mazurkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabián Estoyanoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Diogo Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Landulfos FC's Diogo Ferraz got control of the ball when Leo Fernández tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Cachurro to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Sergio Martins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Landulfos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 82nd match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabián Estoyanoff to maneuver through the defense. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When Emilio Alberete fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's protests and gave Emilio Alberete a yellow card for diving instead. Ladislao Mazurkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino de Lima in the 89th minute of play. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Landulfos FC had won, even though Deportivo Peñarol FIFV had held more of the ball.
