Pascual Tab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Barrialito AFC's Cristo Elivareo got control of the ball when Luiz Fabiano Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edmundo Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Tab, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Cristo Elivareo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizinho Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19thth minute of the game Hernan Socorro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joinville City - FSCMZ's Edmundo Falcão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Luizinho Velasco shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cristo Elivareo but with some difficulty. In the 33rd minute, Hernan Socorro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Luizinho Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Paulo Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Celio charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Celio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th match minute, Barrialito AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Celio to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Luiz Fabiano Leão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristo Elivareo. Cristo Elivareo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 46 minutes into the match, Barrialito AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Leão came free, but Cristo Elivareo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 54th minute Luís Paulo Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Elivareo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Socorro in the 55th minute of play forced Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Edmundo Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luís Paulo Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 minutes, Teodosio Txema mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrialito AFC and the Joinville City - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Barrialito AFC's zone, Luizinho Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristo Elivareo came out of the goal and Luizinho Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Barrialito AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Amadeo Caton hit a great ball. Paulo Medeiros took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristo Elivareo. Cristo Elivareo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Edmundo Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Socorro in the 71st minute of play. Cristo Elivareo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Leão in the 73rd minute of the match. Cristo Elivareo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Luiz Fabiano Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elivélton Palmeira's late challenge caught a Barrialito AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elivélton Palmeira helped the player get up and apologised. 95 minutes into the match, Barrialito AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Leão came free, but Cristo Elivareo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barrialito AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Joinville City - FSCMZ.
