An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Queiroz in the 9th minute of play forced Ensenada's goalkeeper Nunez Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Higinio Luzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Edmundo Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Luís Paulo Ferreira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nunez Astudillo. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 16th match minute, Ensenada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Primeiro to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Luizinho Velasco tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Joinville City - FSCMZ's Luiz Fabiano Leão in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Romulo Primeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Ensenada getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Isaias Domiku hit a great ball. After 33 played minutes, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Luizinho Velasco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nunez Astudillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Joinville City - FSCMZ reached it. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Edmundo Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Primeiro in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes, Luizinho Velasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joinville City - FSCMZ and the Ensenada players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nunez Astudillo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luizinho Velasco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 43 minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Astudillo having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Higinio Luzea was the one to do the kick off. Edmundo Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Luzea, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Ensenada were awarded a corner. Igor Erruki went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ensenada's Isaias Domiku to fire away a dangerous shot which Edmundo Falcão despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Filipe Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville City - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Rossi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nunez Astudillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the game, Luiz Fabiano Leão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joinville City - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ensenada the free kick. The supporters of Ensenada booed when Joinville City - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joinville City - FSCMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Higinio Luzea scored to the left of an out of position Edmundo Falcão, making the score, 3-1. Romulo Primeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Edmundo Falcão made a huge save. Romulo Primeiro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edmundo Falcão firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 87th minute, Luiz Fabiano Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nunez Astudillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joinville City - FSCMZ's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
