Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Diogo Ferraz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sergio Martins's late challenge caught a Quilmes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Martins helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Landulfos FC's Sergio Martins got a free kick in the 19th minute. Diogo Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Nuxila, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Christopher Hawthorne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergio Martins's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Christopher Hawthorne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Kürşat Uma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Sergio Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Hawthorne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Landulfos FC booed when Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Jones didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
