The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nunez Astudillo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nunez Astudillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Leão in the 38th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Higinio Luzea made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Luís Paulo Ferreira took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Nunez Astudillo to make any attempt to save it. Nunez Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute.
