Jonathan Fonseca started the match with the kick off. Heitor Horta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. If Victor de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Leão got free with Arthur Amorim in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flying Dutch's Arthur Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Flying Dutch from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the match, Eusébio Leão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arthur Amorim. Flying Dutch's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Leão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jonathan Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heitor Horta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ponte do Carro's Mateus Quaresma got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 37th match minute, Ponte do Carro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Calado to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Flying Dutch's Arthur Amorim got control of the ball when Eusébio Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eusébio Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Arthur Amorim made a huge save. Heitor Horta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Correia in the 46th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Jonathan Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flying Dutch's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heitor Horta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Eusébio Leão made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's goal looked a bit too open when Altino Guerreiro came free, but Arthur Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heitor Horta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thiago de Mendonça in the 57th minute of the match. Alexandre Lucena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Corte-Real in the 65th minute of play forced Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Arthur Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Lucena in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arthur Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Ponte do Carro booed when Flying Dutch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcel Camargo charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcel Camargo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexandre Lucena was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ponte do Carro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alexandre Lucena in the 77th minute. The corner ended in Alexandre Lucena almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Flying Dutch's Arthur Amorim did a great save. The supporters of Flying Dutch booed when Ponte do Carro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Heitor Horta successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 96th match minute, Ponte do Carro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Altino Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ponte do Carro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Flying Dutch had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
