After a defensive mix-up in Masters United F.C.'s zone, Alexandre Lucena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Cristofor came out of the goal and Alexandre Lucena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Ralondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Heitor Horta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ponte do Carro's Vladimiro Corte-Real got a free kick in the 38th minute. Ponte do Carro's Altino Guerreiro got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Rudolfo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Sílvio Assunção hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusébio Leão made a kick off. When Ponte do Carro's Eusébio Leão in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Artemio Cristofor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Lucena, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Altino Guerreiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ponte do Carro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 87 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Corte-Real. Artemio Cristofor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Quaresma, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Fabian Rudolfo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Alexandre Lucena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Artemio Cristofor. Masters United F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ponte do Carro were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
