He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Maci -MM- reached it. In the 5th minute, Isac Prodan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Altino Guerreiro got free with Adolfo Abar in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Moisés Nogueira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adolfo Abar. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. Basarab Oneț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Heitor Horta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Maci -MM-'s Adolfo Abar got control of the ball when Altino Guerreiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 34 minutes, Horea Cutieru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Maci -MM- and the Ponte do Carro players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Maci -MM- getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Horea Cutieru hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ademar Figueiras got free with Adolfo Abar in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Altino Guerreiro came free, but Adolfo Abar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ponte do Carro's zone, Vladimir Lenin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heitor Horta came out of the goal and Vladimir Lenin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Abar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Altino Guerreiro made a kick off. Ponte do Carro's Heitor Horta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Ponte do Carro from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute Alexandre Lucena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Abar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ponte do Carro booed when FC Maci -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Prodan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes FC Maci -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Oneț. Victor Cojocaru's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Heitor Horta firmly grabbed it by the left post. 70 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Nogueira came free, but Adolfo Abar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimir Lenin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 79 minutes into the match, FC Maci -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Altino Guerreiro came free, but Adolfo Abar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ponte do Carro getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Jesualdo Soveral hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Vladimir Lenin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Heitor Horta was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Isac Prodan's late challenge caught a Ponte do Carro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isac Prodan helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes FC Maci -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Isac Prodan. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Maci -MM- players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ponte do Carro.
