In the 29thth minute of the game Mickael Pagias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rokita Brzeg Dolny's Sebastian Fronczak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Gwidon Jarek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Félicien Boucard was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After 35 minutes R.C. Marseille's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cyprian Giec who took care of the corner kick. R.C. Marseille's Félicien Boucard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Jarek in the 36th minute of play. R.C. Marseille's Félicien Boucard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save R.C. Marseille from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Ernst was the one to do the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Félicien Boucard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mickael Pagias got free with Sebastian Fronczak in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cyprian Giec hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Gwidon Jarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 played minutes R.C. Marseille got a freekick which was hit by Corentin Joye. After 93 minutes, Gwidon Jarek made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. R.C. Marseille's Félicien Boucard tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rokita Brzeg Dolny had won after a very even match.
