Mats Elg didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 12th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Godofredo Mac Intyre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jari Litmanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Lorenzo Mella made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Kurdistan's Agne Britz. If Fabian Lundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Xulián Artaño fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CRUZ DEL SUR's protests and gave Xulián Artaño a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CRUZ DEL SUR getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Xulián Artaño hit a great ball. The audience cheered when Die Hard's long shot passed Godofredo Mac Intyre's right side. It was 1-1, 30 minutes into the match. José Ignacio Berguecio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Mats Elg made a huge save. Fabian Lundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Godofredo Mac Intyre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Odol Rojas fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CRUZ DEL SUR's protests and gave Odol Rojas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, CRUZ DEL SUR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odol Rojas to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Allan Isaksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CRUZ DEL SUR's Aaron Zamorano saw an opening behind the goalie Mats Elg in the 39thth minute and tried to shoot past into the top right corner, but with great reflexes Mats Elg with one arm managed to save the shot in the last secound. A collision led to FC Kurdistan getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Jari Litmanen hit a great ball. Mats Elg made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Juan Manuel Vlahovic sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Fabian Lundström made the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes into the match, José Ignacio Berguecio notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Kurdistan's Mats Elg. Mats Elg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Kurdistan's Christian Wik was substituted for Jari Litmanen. José Ignacio Berguecio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Elg having to interfere. Fabian Lundström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godofredo Mac Intyre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Godofredo Mac Intyre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Lundström's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Lorenzo Mella's late challenge caught a FC Kurdistan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Mella helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes CRUZ DEL SUR got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Mella. FC Kurdistan's Mats Elg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Ignacio Berguecio in the 94th minute of play. CRUZ DEL SUR's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
