Félicien Boucard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tzanko Papukchiev in the 18th minute of the match. Patrice Arlot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bocho Maystorov might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Félicien Boucard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bocho Maystorov ran back to his position shaking his head. When Tzanko Papukchiev, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 23 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Félicien Boucard was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Félicien Boucard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tzanko Papukchiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 27th minute, Tzanko Papukchiev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Félicien Boucard was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Cup2 booed when R.C. Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mickael Pagias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd match minute, Cup2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iskren Nikolchov to maneuver through the defense. Marseille players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cup2 were winning 0-1.

Félicien Boucard was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bocho Maystorov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 81 minute of play. Patrice Arlot kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. When Mickael Pagias fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored R.C. Marseille's protests and gave Mickael Pagias a yellow card for diving instead. Tzanko Papukchiev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Félicien Boucard made a huge save.
