The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jarūnas Laužikas during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hexo Utd getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jarūnas Laužikas hit a great ball. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Hexo Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liutauras Rimkevičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute Jarūnas Laužikas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Ixona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Marlin FC's Pablo Orti got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 39th minute, Domingo Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jarūnas Laužikas came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Hexo Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarūnas Laužikas couldn't finish the play. Domingo Jon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Liutauras Rimkevičius made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Humberto Kinsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erasmo Ixona didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hexo Utd. When Domingo Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marlin FC's protests and gave Domingo Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. With a little luck, Hexo Utd's Kristijonas Juzonis got control of the ball when Anier Eufrasio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Margiris Kerpauskas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Ixona having to interfere. Erasmo Ixona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertas Marcišauskas in the 89th minute of play. Hexo Utd's Kristijonas Juzonis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Jon in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Marlin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Orti to maneuver through the defense.
