The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gaudencio Manny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Derwin in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Eufrasio in the 7th minute of play forced El ABUELO FC's goalkeeper Gaudencio Manny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustin Nel hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Gaudencio Manny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Derwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustin Nel kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Arnaldo Darien took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gaudencio Manny. El ABUELO FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marlin FC's Erasmo Ixona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Dimas in the 16th minute of play. After 19 minutes of play, El ABUELO FC's Alberto Etxekopar made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erasmo Ixona was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anier Eufrasio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Gaudencio Manny made a huge save. Agustin Nel's late challenge caught a Marlin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustin Nel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, El ABUELO FC's Agustin Nel got a free kick in the 30th minute. The supporters of El ABUELO FC booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Darien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marlin FC's Erasmo Ixona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Etxekopar in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Marlin FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Domingo Jon hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Etxekopar in the 40th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Erasmo Ixona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Ixona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Hori in the 42nd minute of the match. After the first half El ABUELO FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacio Derwin was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Marlin FC's Erasmo Ixona got control of the ball when Diego Hori tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gaudencio Manny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anier Eufrasio, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Etxekopar in the 56th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Erasmo Ixona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th match minute, El ABUELO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Hori to maneuver through the defense. Gaudencio Manny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timoteo Evis in the 60th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, El ABUELO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Henry came free, but Gaudencio Manny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Orti took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaudencio Manny. Gaudencio Manny dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 71 minutes into the match, El ABUELO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Derwin came free, but Gaudencio Manny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flaco Schiavi lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Aaron Dimas kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Gaudencio Manny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Henry, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Anier Eufrasio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marlin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Eufrasio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Manny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaudencio Manny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Henry in the 90th minute of play. Gaudencio Manny came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Marlin FC's Anier Eufrasio. But to his dismay, Anier Eufrasio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. There was no doubt that Marlin FC were the better team. Marlin FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
