Spectators: 7724 (Terracing: 5794, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) FC Buzău's Pompiliu Balaban started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Baldomiro Oriol came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Buzău's Ionel Lung. But to his dismay, Ionel Lung quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 11th minute, Sebastián Boselli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the game, Remus Munteanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Baldomiro Oriol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baldomiro Oriol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pompiliu Balaban in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Pompiliu Balaban managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Buzău's supporters rose to their feet, but Pompiliu Balaban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomiro Oriol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Guter kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Remus Munteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Oriol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th match minute, FC Buzău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Gherdan to maneuver through the defense. Ciprian Ghioane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Feliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the game, FC Buzău's Mihail Gherdan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baldomiro Oriol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. FC Buzău walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
