Spectators: 7798 (Terracing: 5850, Seating: 1793, VIP seats: 155) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marc Richter kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd match minute, International Thunders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Köppen to maneuver through the defense. Ciro Teyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halldor Sönksen, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Tim Wiese was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benjamin Eckstein showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. The supporters of International Thunders booed when SV Bad Harzburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maik Schmeltzer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When SV Bad Harzburg's Marc Richter in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Moritz Kurtz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Tim Wiese made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Patric Rudersdorfer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tim Wiese. SV Bad Harzburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patric Rudersdorfer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Eckstein in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Wiese saved SV Bad Harzburg from getting behind. If Halldor Sönksen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When SV Bad Harzburg's Marc Richter in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye International Thunders's goalie prevented a goal. In the 44th minute Halldor Sönksen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Teyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

With an all-out effort, SV Bad Harzburg's Ciro Teyo threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Halldor Sönksen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tim Wiese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Eckstein, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Tim Wiese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerrit Dohr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Eckstein in the 61st minute of play. Patric Rudersdorfer scored 3-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Wiese, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. International Thunders's Norman Zahn got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Halldor Sönksen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patric Rudersdorfer in the 77th minute of play. Patric Rudersdorfer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tim Wiese tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patric Rudersdorfer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tim Wiese having to make a save. After 91 minutes, Benjamin Eckstein mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the International Thunders and the SV Bad Harzburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to International Thunders getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Benjamin Eckstein hit a great ball. Tim Wiese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Rudersdorfer in the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerrit Dohr in the 94th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Patric Rudersdorfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. International Thunders's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
