Eloy Alvarez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Long Yuan De. Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Long Yuan De didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steve Hyuga went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Moises Marcones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Hyuga in the 18th minute of play forced Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper Long Yuan De to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Javier Landeras's late challenge caught a ManagerZone Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javier Landeras helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Javier Landeras. After 19 played minutes, ManagerZone Academy's Eloy Alvarez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Long Yuan De came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ManagerZone Academy reached it. Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Marcones in the 26th minute of play. Rodolfo Jaunzuria hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. The supporters of ManagerZone Academy booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodney Cosca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Long Yuan De showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Marcones, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. A collision led to ManagerZone Academy getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Marciano Ponce hit a great ball. Zarando Eguizabal struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Albino Frisco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Astillero del Guayas. Baldeón Bretal kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Eloy Alvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot. ManagerZone Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Eloy Alvarez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Long Yuan De breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danilo Martinez might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Long Yuan De. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danilo Martinez ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 45 minutes, Zarando Eguizabal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astillero del Guayas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zarando Eguizabal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Astillero del Guayas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ManagerZone Academy were winning 0-2.
The wind increased when Zarando Eguizabal made the kick off in the second half. ManagerZone Academy's Prospero Elija got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Long Yuan De made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Jaunzuria in the 55th minute. After 60 played minutes ManagerZone Academy got a freekick which was hit by Moises Marcones. Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Astillero del Guayas from getting a goal against them. Long Yuan De was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Natalio Jacob capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Natalio Jacob really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 67th minute Dani Galiana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albino Frisco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Steve Hyuga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Zuberoa Sanguino. Eloy Alvarez, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moises Marcones in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Long Yuan De saved Astillero del Guayas from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Zuberoa Sanguino got a free kick in the 75th minute. Long Yuan De made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Moises Marcones sent off a good shot on target. ManagerZone Academy's Moises Marcones was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Natalio Jacob came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the ManagerZone Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natalio Jacob couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, ManagerZone Academy's Natalio Jacob got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Long Yuan De took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Alvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moises Marcones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Long Yuan De having to interfere. Steve Hyuga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Antonijoan. Long Yuan De was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eloy Alvarez. Long Yuan De made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Steve Hyuga sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ManagerZone Academy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
