Ezequiel Perpiñán hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zarando Eguizabal in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Moya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute Astillero del Guayas were awarded a corner. Zuberoa Sanguino went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Astillero del Guayas's corner Zuberoa Sanguino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manuel Moya quite easily take care of the ball. Manuel Moya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dani Galiana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Ezequiel Perpiñán got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Landeras in the 33rd minute of play forced Plaza Babys CF's goalkeeper Manuel Moya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodney Cosca got free with Manuel Moya in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 52ndth minute of the game Bo Kristiansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astillero del Guayas's Long Yuan De was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Plaza Babys CF's Manuel Moya got control of the ball when Zarando Eguizabal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Plaza Babys CF's Manuel Moya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Plaza Babys CF from getting a goal against them. After 69 played minutes Plaza Babys CF got a freekick which was hit by Eric Heredia. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Zuberoa Sanguino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Astillero del Guayas's supporters rose to their feet, but Zuberoa Sanguino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Moya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neto Dorado kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to Plaza Babys CF getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ezequiel Perpiñán hit a great ball. Long Yuan De tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel Perpiñán during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
