In the 16th match minute, Scorpions -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Mihuț to maneuver through the defense. Avram Golescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dan Tinu to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Scorpions -MM-'s Eric Cimpoieru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Segundo Birila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tony Dobos during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ángel-Fabián Di María in the 96th minute of play forced Scorpions -MM-'s goalkeeper Avram Golescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. La Scaloneta walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
