Remi Robben blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavian Bebeșel having to make a save. Adrian Gănescu charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. For all the effort they put into the match, the Granicerul players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
