Angelo Marchegiani made in the 27th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ferruccio Rinaldi. In the 29th match minute, Gladiator FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Tatangelo to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes in the game, Allen Obando dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 34th match minute, New Joinville - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Osasun to maneuver through the defense. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo Gustavson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Tatangelo in the 35th minute of play. Marquinhos Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Ronnie Xande's late challenge caught a Gladiator FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronnie Xande helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes New Joinville - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Ronnie Xande. When Angelo Osasun came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the New Joinville - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Osasun couldn't finish the play. Allen Obando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Aurelio Epifani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Beppe Rivera in the 54th minute of play forced New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Gustavo Gustavson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xandinho Thuram charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xandinho Thuram the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Lütfü Helvacı was substituted for Ronnie Xande. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Ateş Direnç was substituted for Angelo Osasun. Ateş Direnç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Marquinhos Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Marquinhos Jacinto got a free kick in the 75th minute. A throw-in in the 80th minute of the game was made by Angelo Marchegiani with Ferruccio Rinaldi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ateş Direnç's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Aurelio Epifani skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. New Joinville - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Armando Massa in the 85th minute. Armando Massa made a great header on New Joinville - FSCMZ's corner, it was just that Gladiator FC's Aurelio Epifani managed to reach the ball for a save. 89 minutes into the match, Gladiator FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo came free, but Aurelio Epifani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
