The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thoyib Lunggana during the 2nd minute. In the 27th minute Nadeo Effendy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Hultman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Zakaria Pangestu came free, but Kjell-Arne Hultman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MAFFIAN's zone, Kabul Sonjaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell-Arne Hultman came out of the goal and Kabul Sonjaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 38 played minutes AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Suryana. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 50th match minute, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zakaria Pangestu to maneuver through the defense. Sylvester Stallone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Lukita Suharyadi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Kjell-Arne Hultman but with some difficulty. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
