In the 33rd minute, Xandinho Kane reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aurelio Epifani. The goal made the score 4-0. The supporters of Gladiator FC booed when New Joinville - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allen Obando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enzo Guaita's late challenge caught a New Joinville - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Gladiator FC's zone, Allen Obando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Epifani came out of the goal and Allen Obando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Allen Obando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Epifani having to interfere. In the 47th minute of the match, Xandinho Kane got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aurelio Epifani was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dave Gambini was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo got a free kick in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xandinho Kane in the 63rd minute of play forced Gladiator FC's goalkeeper Aurelio Epifani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
