Filip Gombuš was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for JuSi Malacky! Denver Gagnon had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Micheal Burnham's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Flames FC got a corner. JuSi Malacky's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Micheal Burnham ran over to the corner to take the kick. JuSi Malacky were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Flames FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ivan Šimko took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ľubomír Čuntala got free with Margarito Santana in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the game, Ambrose Keen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flames FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JuSi Malacky the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ľubomír Čuntala in the 15th minute of play forced Flames FC's goalkeeper Margarito Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flames FC's Margarito Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ľubomír Čuntala in the 22nd minute of play. Denver Gagnon came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Flames FC's Donald Kearns. But to his dismay, Donald Kearns quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, JuSi Malacky's Richard Glenda got a free kick in the 27th minute. JuSi Malacky's Denver Gagnon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orval Crow in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute JuSi Malacky were awarded a corner. Ivan Šimko went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Ivan Šimko almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Flames FC's Margarito Santana did a great save. A collision led to JuSi Malacky getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Tomáš Tóth hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Flames FC defense, Dušan Obšut kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Margarito Santana. The Flames FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Margarito Santana should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Flames FC's zone, Tomáš Tóth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Margarito Santana came out of the goal and Tomáš Tóth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ľubomír Čuntala was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 47th match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Micheal Burnham to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ľubomír Čuntala to make the kick off. Denver Gagnon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Kearns in the 55th minute of the match. Orval Crow might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denver Gagnon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orval Crow ran back to his position shaking his head. After 57 played minutes Flames FC got a freekick which was hit by Ambrose Keen. Dobre Bran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Margarito Santana. Flames FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Donald Kearns charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donald Kearns the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Kearns to maneuver through the defense. Margarito Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ľubomír Čuntala, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Margarito Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ľubomír Čuntala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denver Gagnon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horace Vaughn in the 65th minute of the match. The supporters of Flames FC booed when JuSi Malacky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Glenda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horace Vaughn's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Denver Gagnon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 79th minute, Flames FC's Donald Kearns ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Denver Gagnon. Denver Gagnon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Ľubomír Čuntala took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Margarito Santana. Margarito Santana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orval Crow in the 85th minute of play forced JuSi Malacky's goalkeeper Denver Gagnon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Kearns to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ľubomír Čuntala in the 90th minute of play forced Flames FC's goalkeeper Margarito Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Margarito Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ľubomír Čuntala in the 92nd minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
