The audience thought a goal was coming when Elder Vaz got free with Owen McGinnis in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thad Rocha in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Souza saved Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's João Augusto Castro got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 11th match minute, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 14thth minute of the game Gil Soeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Owen McGinnis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dé Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Bright, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Dé Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thad Rocha in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG booed when CLAYMORE COUNTRY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick English didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elder Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Owen McGinnis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Rodrigues in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in CLAYMORE COUNTRY's zone, Téo Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Owen McGinnis came out of the goal and Téo Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Owen McGinnis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tião de Medeiros in the 28th minute. CLAYMORE COUNTRY's Owen McGinnis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save CLAYMORE COUNTRY from getting a goal against them. Elder Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tião de Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tião de Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CLAYMORE COUNTRY booed when Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elder Vaz to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Elder Vaz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Owen McGinnis was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Andrézinho Salgado hit a great ball. Fernando Washburn hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Dé Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmitt Cabrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG fans cheered their team off the field, for while CLAYMORE COUNTRY had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
