Saul Osoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the match, Buenaventura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaw Wicherek came free, but Leonidas Barrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LegionArgentina's Nicolas Sayvion suffered a concussion in the 22nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Romel Torrijos was shown his second yellow card after 22 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 41st minute Urbano Eguntsenti suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 42 minutes, Roger Martinez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buenaventura FC and the LegionArgentina players grew even worse after the yellow card. LegionArgentina made a substitution. Feliciano Nastasio replaced Urbano Eguntsenti. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Gustaw Wicherek struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Leonidas Barrera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LegionArgentina. Leonidas Barrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Arnas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaw Wicherek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonidas Barrera having to interfere. Andrés Chavez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Saul Osoitz having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Martinez in the 71st minute of play forced LegionArgentina's goalkeeper Saul Osoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Buenaventura FC's zone, Gustaw Wicherek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonidas Barrera came out of the goal and Gustaw Wicherek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the LegionArgentina defense, Andrés Chavez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saul Osoitz. The LegionArgentina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saul Osoitz should have stopped the shot. Saul Osoitz came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Buenaventura FC's Andrés Chavez. But to his dismay, Andrés Chavez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 83rd minute, Roger Martinez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Saul Osoitz managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Buenaventura FC's Andrés Chavez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Froilan Arnas hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 96 played minutes LegionArgentina got a freekick which was hit by Angel Mitxel.
