Jefferson Goiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Osvaldo Goren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jefferson Goiano having to make a save. Menchu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Goren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rigoberto Cuarto hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Hélder Meireles, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Osvaldo Goren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jefferson Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Goren, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Goren in the 28th minute of play forced Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Jefferson Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hélder Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Angel Comizzo made a huge save. Osvaldo Goren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jefferson Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Menchu FC's Osvaldo Goren got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jefferson Goiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldo Goren's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Osvaldo Goren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xiboquinha FC's Jefferson Goiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 39 played minutes Menchu FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Noe. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Goren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jefferson Goiano was relentless in the 47th minute of the game.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomás Quintal to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Amadeu Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jefferson Goiano was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Vicente Noe capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vicente Noe really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. When Osvaldo Goren came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Menchu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Goren couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Goren might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jefferson Goiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Goren ran back to his position shaking his head. Jefferson Goiano made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Osvaldo Goren sent off a good shot on target. Hélder Meireles struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Angel Comizzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xiboquinha FC. Jefferson Goiano was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Osvaldo Goren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Osvaldo Goren really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 85th match minute, Xiboquinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Urbano to maneuver through the defense. Menchu FC's Felipe Quentin was substituted for Osvaldo Goren. After 87 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Urbano. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Marcelo Gallardo took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Jefferson Goiano to make any attempt to save it. Vicente Noe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Goiano having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hudson Urbano during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Hudson Urbano hit a great ball. Menchu FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
