In the 3rd minute Patrick Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Rolink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of MK Investments booed when Carrossel Caipira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chiel Donderwinkel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Edinho da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Carrossel Caipira's goal looked a bit too open when Vince Seaward came free, but Edinho da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edinho da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Soeiro in the 14th minute of play. Pascal Bults might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edinho da Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pascal Bults ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascal Bults in the 20th minute of play forced Carrossel Caipira's goalkeeper Edinho da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edinho da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacco van Dartel in the 23rd minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Carrossel Caipira's goal looked a bit too open when Jacco van Dartel came free, but Edinho da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wesley Mangueira took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Rolink. Ruben Rolink dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After some careless play in the Carrossel Caipira defense, Jacco van Dartel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edinho da Rocha. The Carrossel Caipira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edinho da Rocha should have stopped the shot. Carrossel Caipira's Edinho da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiel Donderwinkel in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Carrossel Caipira's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Soeiro came free, but Edinho da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacco van Dartel kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wesley Mangueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wesley Mangueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ruben Rolink. MK Investments's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ruben Rolink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Mangueira in the 77th minute of play forced MK Investments's goalkeeper Ruben Rolink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Carrossel Caipira getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Luizão Schmidt hit a great ball. Edinho da Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacco van Dartel in the 83rd minute. Edinho da Rocha was a little too slow when Jacco van Dartel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-5. After 86 minutes of play, MK Investments's Jacco van Dartel made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edinho da Rocha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Augusto Soeiro hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. MK Investments's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
