The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lukas Matsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Hotz's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. When Francisco Hotz came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Sportivo Fernet Branca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Hotz couldn't finish the play. 6 minutes into the match, FC NORDLAND's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Millan came free, but Lukas Matsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Francisco Hotz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC NORDLAND's Lukas Matsson. Lukas Matsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute, Otto Eskilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sportivo Fernet Branca's Dante Millan got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lukas Matsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Millan in the 23rd minute of play. When Otto Eskilsson fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC NORDLAND's protests and gave Otto Eskilsson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC NORDLAND getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Otto Eskilsson hit a great ball. The supporters of Sportivo Fernet Branca booed when FC NORDLAND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Klintæus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Millan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dante Millan took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lukas Matsson. Lukas Matsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Luisito Seme fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Fernet Branca's protests and gave Luisito Seme a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes Sportivo Fernet Branca got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Seme. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dante Millan made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sportivo Fernet Branca booed when FC NORDLAND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry Baresi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the game Malcolm Blom made a throw-in which Kjell Vollander played forward. Dante Millan struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Lukas Matsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Fernet Branca. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Otto Eskilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC NORDLAND's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Eskilsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Dalmai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lukas Matsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dante Millan's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Alfonso Dalmai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svenne Svensk in the 92nd minute of the match. Barry Baresi's late challenge caught a Sportivo Fernet Branca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barry Baresi helped the player get up and apologised. Barry Baresi kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Sportivo Fernet Branca players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
