A hard shot 20 in the game by Celso Martel from a close distance when the talented Xabel Beloki managed to make a qualified save. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's players were relieved. Celso Martel had several of the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Xabel Beloki as he didn't even see the shot coming. Xabel Beloki made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Celso Martel sent off a good shot on target. Piearres Samperio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Xabel Beloki. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jorrin Artiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cugat Marines's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cugat Marines in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorrin Artiz saved C.S.D Punta Ballena from getting behind. Celso Martel in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Xabel Beloki, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Celso Martels short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Xabel Beloki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifaco Villalcazar in the 46th minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Xabel Beloki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltazar Fonticoba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ruperto Mendez in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jorrin Artiz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Piearres Samperio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Xabel Beloki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xabel Beloki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nevada Chapital in the 58th minute of the match. Cugat Marines took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorrin Artiz. Jorrin Artiz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. C.S.D Punta Ballena made a substitution. Baudelio Valls replaced Leo Busvidad. Xabel Beloki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifaco Villalcazar in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Celso Martel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.S.D Punta Ballena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO the free kick. Celso Martel kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Jorrin Artiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Fonticoba in the 76th minute of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Celso Martel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Xabel Beloki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. C.S.D Punta Ballena's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Baudelio Valls in the 85th minute. Maureo Colsa hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute Celso Martel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xabel Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Martel in the 92nd minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Xabel Beloki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bonifaco Villalcazar's late challenge caught a ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifaco Villalcazar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO booed when C.S.D Punta Ballena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifaco Villalcazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. C.S.D Punta Ballena had won after a very even match.
