After 4 minutes FC NORDLAND's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cugat Marines who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's corner Cugat Marines fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lukas Matsson quite easily take care of the ball. Xabel Beloki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svenne Svensk, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 9 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Svenne Svensk came free, but Xabel Beloki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FC NORDLAND defense, Ruperto Mendez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lukas Matsson. The FC NORDLAND fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lukas Matsson should have stopped the shot. Lukas Matsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Mendez in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cugat Marines in the 35th minute of play forced FC NORDLAND's goalkeeper Lukas Matsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lukas Matsson was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Baltazar Fonticoba capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baltazar Fonticoba really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. FC NORDLAND's Lukas Matsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save FC NORDLAND from getting a goal against them. After having played for 47 minutes, Ruperto Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Mendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cugat Marines to make the kick off. Lukas Matsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cugat Marines in the 52nd minute of play. FC NORDLAND's Lukas Matsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cugat Marines in the 55th minute of play.
