Virgil Lixandru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baltazar Fonticoba's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Şumălan came free, but Xabel Beloki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cugat Marines blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgil Lixandru having to make a save. Dacian Muncelean's late challenge caught a ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dacian Muncelean helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Juventus PTM got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Muncelean. Cugat Marines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's attentive Juan Viqueira managed to snatch the ball when Adrian Hosu made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. Virgil Lixandru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cugat Marines in the 15th minute of the match. Adrian Hosu made in the 23rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Horaţiu Tinu immediately put the ball in play. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Xabel Beloki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Xabel Beloki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cornel Bourceanu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Fonticoba in the 29th minute of play forced Juventus PTM's goalkeeper Virgil Lixandru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes of play, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Baltazar Fonticoba made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgil Lixandru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cornel Bourceanu scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xabel Beloki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cornel Bourceanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Xabel Beloki made a huge save. 42 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Ni Zhou Hong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgil Lixandru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Juventus PTM's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Fonticoba came free, but Virgil Lixandru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Baltazar Fonticoba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Virgil Lixandru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Şumălan to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Baltazar Fonticoba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Virgil Lixandru. That made the score 1-3 in the 56 minute of play. In the 58th minute Baltazar Fonticoba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Lixandru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Juan Viqueira. When Juventus PTM's Cornel Bourceanu in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Tinu in the 67th minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Xabel Beloki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horaţiu Tinu scored 2-3 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xabel Beloki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO made a substitution. Ruperto Mendez replaced Baltazar Fonticoba. In the 80th minute ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO were awarded a corner. Cugat Marines went to the cornerflag to take it. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Juan Viqueira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eliodor Iuonaș, made in the 85th minute of the game. Virgil Lixandru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruperto Mendez's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Adrian Hosu made in the 93rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Eliodor Iuonaș immediately put the ball in play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruperto Mendez in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgil Lixandru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Ruperto Mendez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgil Lixandru was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anter Titos during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 99 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Anter Titos. Juventus PTM's Cornel Doman got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
