The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zbyszko Hoffman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abuy Mustaqim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Hotman Paris hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Krzysztof Golaszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hotman Paris, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. SAPI FC's Anak Begal got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Krzysztof Golaszewski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anak Gaul was the one to do the kick off. SAPI FC's Abuy Mustaqim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszko Hoffman in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute, Andrzej Markowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 played minutes SAPI FC got a freekick which was hit by Ganjar Pakunagara. Zbyszko Hoffman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Abuy Mustaqim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SAPI FC's Hotman Paris got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Andrzej Markowski's late challenge caught a SAPI FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrzej Markowski helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when Red Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrzej Markowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Red Devils's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrzej Markowski in the 77th minute. When Red Devils's Andrzej Markowski in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
