The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Åhus Absolut F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Bergsten to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Licerio Cano in the 5th minute of play forced Åhus Absolut F.C's goalkeeper Jim Lindholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Hondo Roman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Rivera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Johnny Broman in the 10th minute. Jim Lindholm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Licerio Cano's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Jim Lindholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mahoma Abrego in the 15th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Licerio Cano put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jim Lindholm. Jim Lindholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mahoma Abrego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Licerio Cano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jim Lindholm was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Åhus Absolut F.C's Jim Lindholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oihan Benito in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Åhus Absolut F.C getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. José Carlos Medeiros hit a great ball. The supporters of Åhus Absolut F.C booed when Club Getafe Deportivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egoitz Companys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abbe Alvin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Renato Rivera made a huge save. Mahoma Abrego took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jim Lindholm. Jim Lindholm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Jim Lindholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egoitz Companys in the 43rd minute of play. Jan Bergsten hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

In the 64th minute Julen Velazquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Lindholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Cesaro Huarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jim Lindholm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Licerio Cano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 70 minute of play. Régis Hoffmann's late challenge caught a Club Getafe Deportivo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Régis Hoffmann helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Åhus Absolut F.C got a freekick which was hit by Régis Hoffmann. Jim Lindholm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egoitz Companys in the 89th minute. Jim Lindholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Licerio Cano in the 90th minute of play.
