Ilie Marghescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Damião got free with Ilie Marghescu in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dep. Moron's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ulysses Simões was slow to take the kick. During this time The Beatles's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on The Beatles's corner Ulysses Simões fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ilie Marghescu quite easily take care of the ball. Dadá Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ari Giles, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Ilie Marghescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Barros in the 26th minute of play. Ilie Marghescu made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Jacinto Damião sent off a good shot on target. Jacinto Damião kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 28thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Dep. Moron's keeper Ilie Marghescu was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Dadá Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rashad Werner in the 30th minute of play. Dep. Moron were furious when Mario Grana was red carded, 32 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 33rd minute, Mario Grana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Dep. Moron's zone, Ulysses Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilie Marghescu came out of the goal and Ulysses Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Beatles's Ulysses Simões was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ilie Marghescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 45 minutes, Thurman Clay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dep. Moron and the The Beatles players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thurman Clay hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ulysses Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Beatles's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulysses Simões was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Marghescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Palacios to strike the kick off in the second half. Ilie Marghescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Pietro Sales managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Beatles's supporters rose to their feet, but Pietro Sales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Marghescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Carioca in the 66th minute of play forced Dep. Moron's goalkeeper Ilie Marghescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Dep. Moron's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Maia came free, but Ilie Marghescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilie Marghescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuca Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Jacinto Damião put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ilie Marghescu. Dep. Moron's Lucas Palacios got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Barros in the 79th minute of play forced Dep. Moron's goalkeeper Ilie Marghescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilie Marghescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Damião in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pietro Sales in the 83rd minute of play forced Dep. Moron's goalkeeper Ilie Marghescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Teodoro Carioca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ilie Marghescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 88 minutes of play, The Beatles's Teodoro Carioca made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilie Marghescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucas Palacios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Dadá Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Dep. Moron players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Beatles.
