The Club Getafe Deportivo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Thiago Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Licerio Cano, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celsinho Neiva made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Ronaldão Diniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Prudente and the Club Getafe Deportivo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Prudente's Serginho da Silva got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's goal looked a bit too open when Baldemer Abrego came free, but Thiago Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Grêmio Prudente booed when Club Getafe Deportivo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karmel Noya didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mahoma Abrego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Licerio Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Club Getafe Deportivo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
