Amboy FC's Dalmacio Javiar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by João Carlos Gaspar in the 17 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Dalmacio Javiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amboy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmacio Javiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitor José breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amboy FC's Gustavo Bernebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Mazurkiewicz in the 23rd minute of play. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Amboy FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Flávio Fonseca took the corner. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romulo Bernebe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jani Como ran back to his position shaking his head. S.E.R. When Ladislao Mazurkiewicz fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's protests and gave Ladislao Mazurkiewicz a yellow card for diving instead.
