Jim Lindholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celsinho Neiva in the 3rd minute of the match. Afonsinho de Amaral was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. Grêmio Prudente:s Thiago Couto showed great skill when he stopped Hannes Fernkvist:s penalty. In the 10th minute Oskar Broberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Broman in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, José Carlos Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grêmio Prudente's Hermínio Cunha couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Åhus Absolut F.C. With a little luck, Åhus Absolut F.C's Jim Lindholm got control of the ball when Celsinho Neiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Åhus Absolut F.C's Jim Lindholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Neiva in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Grêmio Prudente booed when Åhus Absolut F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Beckeman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Couto came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Åhus Absolut F.C's Oskar Broberg. But to his dismay, Oskar Broberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Jim Lindholm successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jim Lindholm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Neiva in the 35th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Celsinho Neiva could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-1 into the left cross. Åhus Absolut F.C's José Carlos Medeiros got his second yellow card of the match in the 45th minute. The referee ordered José Carlos Medeiros off the ground. In the 46th minute, José Carlos Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's Hermínio Cunha broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celsinho Neiva to make the kick off. Rolf Beckeman kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 56 minutes, Jan Bergsten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åhus Absolut F.C and the Grêmio Prudente players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Jan Bergsten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Broman came free, but Thiago Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61stth minute of the game Celsinho Neiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åhus Absolut F.C's Jim Lindholm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute, Hermínio Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho da Silva in the 70th minute of play forced Åhus Absolut F.C's goalkeeper Jim Lindholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim Lindholm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Mattos's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Jim Lindholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celsinho Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jim Lindholm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute Åhus Absolut F.C were awarded a corner. Hannes Fernkvist went to the cornerflag to take it. Hannes Fernkvist made a great header on Åhus Absolut F.C's corner, it was just that Grêmio Prudente's Thiago Couto managed to reach the ball for a save. 84 minutes into the match, Åhus Absolut F.C's Johnny Broman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Couto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute Celsinho Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Lindholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Grêmio Prudente's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Broman came free, but Thiago Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeca Velasco during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Grêmio Prudente's Thiago Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Broman in the 96th minute of play. The Åhus Absolut F.C players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
