Cícero Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Prudente's zone, Rodolfo Valiente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Ramos came out of the goal and Rodolfo Valiente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute Rodolfo Valiente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Guto Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20thth minute of the game Rodolfo Valiente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Prudente's José Vítor Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute, Baldomero Benitez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute of the match Ronaldão Diniz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Honorio Laffitte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Alfredo Rufio came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Club Atletico Juanita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Rufio couldn't finish the play. José Vítor Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeledon Enol in the 37th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Rodas in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Vítor Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Grêmio Prudente defense, Zeledon Enol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Vítor Ramos. The Grêmio Prudente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Vítor Ramos should have stopped the shot. Zeledon Enol took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Vítor Ramos. José Vítor Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. José Vítor Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Enol, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute, Club Atletico Juanita's Rogelio Faro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rogelio Faro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Atletico Juanita protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rogelio Faro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-5.
The wind increased when Rodolfo Valiente made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Grêmio Prudente getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Afonsinho de Amaral hit a great ball. Rodolfo Valiente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Ramos having to interfere. After 57 minutes of play, Grêmio Prudente's Serginho da Silva made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Honorio Laffitte was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Vítor Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Rufio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Grêmio Prudente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cícero Neves to maneuver through the defense. José Vítor Ramos made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Leonardo Rodas sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Juanita's Zeledon Enol got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Leonardo Rodas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Grêmio Prudente getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Guto Lucas hit a great ball. Grêmio Prudente's José Vítor Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Valiente in the 77th minute of play. Leonardo Rodas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but José Vítor Ramos made a huge save. Grêmio Prudente's José Vítor Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Prudente from getting a goal against them. José Vítor Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonardo Rodas's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Rodas got free with José Vítor Ramos in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honorio Laffitte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serginho da Silva in the 89th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Grêmio Prudente got a freekick which was hit by Guto Lucas. In the 93rd minute, Leonardo Rodas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Juanita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-7. Club Atletico Juanita's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
