The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Vo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Honorio Laffitte. That made the score 1-1 in the 21 minute of play. Amboy FC's Gustavo Bernebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Valiente in the 24th minute of play. Zeledon Enol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honorio Laffitte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Vo went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 37 played minutes Amboy FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Vo. Alfredo Rufio kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 41 minutes, Jaime Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atletico Juanita and the Amboy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Club Atletico Juanita got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Azevedo. Zé Vo struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Honorio Laffitte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amboy FC. Zé Vo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
