Ronaldão Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grêmio Prudente's Celsinho Neiva was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ilie Marghescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Grêmio Prudente's José Vítor Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rashad Werner in the 36th minute of play. When Faustão Diniz fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio Prudente's protests and gave Faustão Diniz a yellow card for diving instead. Lucas Palacios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Ramos having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Ronaldão Diniz made a precise shot to the right of Ilie Marghescu. Dep. Moron's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldão Diniz was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Rashad Werner made a precise shot to the right of José Vítor Ramos. Grêmio Prudente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ilie Marghescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Prudente. José Vítor Ramos made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Mario Grana sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute Rashad Werner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Grana during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mario Grana hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Ronaldão Diniz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Prudente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Grêmio Prudente fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dep. Moron had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
