The Hatayspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Önder Değer should have stopped the shot. Önder Değer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomáš Berousek, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Önder Değer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zdeněk Skalník in the 37th minute of the match. Önder Değer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zdeněk Skalník in the 39th minute of play. Zdeněk Skalník took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Önder Değer. Önder Değer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Tomáš Berousek struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Önder Değer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kopeto. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

FC Kopeto made a substitution. Václav Plášil replaced František Žiga. Tomáš Berousek kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match.
