Cura del Futbol's Ramon Luzaide got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Zezé Haaland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Jorrin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Segundo Esiquio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cura del Futbol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinhote FC the free kick. The supporters of Pinhote FC booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Esiquio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
