The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Dino Saraiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alípio Magalhães was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Delta FS's Alípio Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Baptista in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Floresta Club U18's Beto Vinhas got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Patrício Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alípio Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Delta FS's Alípio Magalhães got control of the ball when Didi Mattos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Didi Mattos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Alípio Magalhães made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Delta FS's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Baptista came free, but Alípio Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Floresta Club U18's Eusébio Baptista got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Andaka Mellon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hudson de Souza. Floresta Club U18's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andaka Mellon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Eusébio Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Delta FS's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Saraiva came free, but Alípio Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Fagundes kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Alípio Magalhães acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eusébio Baptista. The supporters of Delta FS booed when Floresta Club U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Delta FS's Alípio Magalhães got control of the ball when Didi Mattos tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Saraiva in the 44th minute of play forced Delta FS's goalkeeper Alípio Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dino Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the game, Didi Mattos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alípio Magalhães. Didi Mattos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Didi Mattos was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Didi Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alípio Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alípio Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Alípio Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Saraiva in the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, Floresta Club U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Viana to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Dino Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alípio Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vítor Fagundes hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Eusébio Baptista sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alípio Magalhães skillfully saved the ball. Eusébio Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alípio Magalhães having to interfere. Andaka Mellon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Didi Mattos notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Delta FS's Alípio Magalhães. Alípio Magalhães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Didi Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alípio Magalhães having to make a save. Dino Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Floresta Club U18's Didi Mattos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alípio Magalhães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Alípio Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alípio Magalhães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Didi Mattos went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. Delta FS's Alípio Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino Cordeiro in the 99th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Floresta Club U18 fully deserved thier win.
