One of Barrabases de Victoria:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sydney FC:s goal. Kees Plappert placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Guntademaro Portillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakov Stähr in the 15th minute of the match. Rasmus Gölz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavio Parro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guntademaro Portillo made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Jakov Stähr sent off a good shot on target. When Nat Schmitt fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sydney FC's protests and gave Nat Schmitt a yellow card for diving instead. Nat Schmitt hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Barrabases de Victoria's Mai Ling Peng got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sydney FC were furious when Henrik Reifer was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Sydney FC:s Rasmus Gölz showed great skill when he stopped Tanio Quilodrán:s penalty. If Thorben Rittmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dinç Terzioğlu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. When Erich Egger came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Sydney FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erich Egger couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Narcomillo Parot was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Barrabases de Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Tanio Quilodrán. Erich Egger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Guntademaro Portillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barrabases de Victoria's Emanuel Diaz de León was substituted for Octavio Parro. Barrabases de Victoria's Teodor Alfaro was substituted for Tanio Quilodrán. Sydney FC's Rasmus Gölz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcomillo Parot in the 72nd minute of play. Kees Plappert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narcomillo Parot struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Rasmus Gölz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrabases de Victoria. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcomillo Parot in the 86th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Rasmus Gölz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrabases de Victoria's Dinç Terzioğlu has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 88th minute. Emanuel Diaz de León was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
