Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) Peder Gernberg started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Eklund in the 11th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Rasmus Gölz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sydney FC's Adnan Tilner got a free kick in the 14th minute. Sydney FC's Rasmus Gölz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Hamberg in the 15th minute of play. BK Värdsholmen were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Sydney FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roy Hamberg took the corner. BK Värdsholmen's Roy Hamberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rasmus Gölz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Joel Tolsson was a little too slow when Thorben Rittmann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 2-0. BK Värdsholmen were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Sydney FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roy Hamberg took the corner. Hinrik Grobmaul charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hinrik Grobmaul the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hinrik Grobmaul hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Roy Hamberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rasmus Gölz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. The BK Värdsholmen fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when BK Värdsholmen's Håkan Eklund looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. BK Värdsholmen's Joel Tolsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thorben Rittmann in the 37th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jakov Stähr got free with Joel Tolsson in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute of the match, Jakov Stähr got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joel Tolsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rasmus Gölz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peder Gernberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 41 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Hippolyt Esche. 43 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Peder Gernberg came free, but Rasmus Gölz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute Erich Egger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jakov Stähr stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Roy Hamberg fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BK Värdsholmen's protests and gave Roy Hamberg a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when BK Värdsholmen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Hamberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes, Sydney FC's Kees Plappert shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joel Tolsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sydney FC reached it. In the 54th match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erich Egger to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-3 when John Eckegren sped through Sydney FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rasmus Gölz. In the 67th match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hippolyt Esche to maneuver through the defense. With 74 minutes on the clock, Roy Hamberg commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to BK Värdsholmen getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Roy Hamberg hit a great ball. Joel Tolsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kees Plappert in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Jakov Stähr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Tolsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rasmus Gölz made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Håkan Eklund sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Rasmus Gölz managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when BK Värdsholmen's Håkan Eklund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peder Gernberg in the 87th minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Rasmus Gölz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sydney FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Erich Egger hit a great ball. The BK Värdsholmen players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
