Lúcio Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Gaspard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute Ruben Sidoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute, Ruben Sidoro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lúcio Lopes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, Angua FC's Leo Rosio got control of the ball when Ivo Coutinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lúcio Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Gaspard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Gaspard, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Lúcio Lopes came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Angua FC's Emiliano Gaspard. But to his dismay, Emiliano Gaspard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some careless play in the Arrebimba o Malho SLB defense, Angelino Ponciano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lúcio Lopes. The Arrebimba o Malho SLB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lúcio Lopes should have stopped the shot. If Januário Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angua FC's Leo Rosio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Angua FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Angua FC's Ruben Sidoro got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ruben Sidoro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lúcio Lopes having to make a save. Emiliano Gaspard might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio Lopes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emiliano Gaspard ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 40 minutes, Emiliano Gaspard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Angua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Gaspard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruben Sidoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lúcio Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Angua FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute, Arrebimba o Malho SLB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ruben Sidoro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 60 minutes into the match, Arrebimba o Malho SLB's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Gaspard came free, but Lúcio Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Januário Martins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leo Rosio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Ben Fica charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ben Fica the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Emiliano Gaspard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Ruben Sidoro could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Lúcio Lopes however easily saved by the left post. Leo Rosio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Januário Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Anselmo Borba got a free kick in the 81st minute. Lúcio Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruben Sidoro in the 82nd minute. Lúcio Lopes made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Ruben Sidoro sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Emiliano Gaspard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Angua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emiliano Gaspard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th match minute, Arrebimba o Malho SLB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Soares to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Gaspard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Lúcio Lopes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 91st minute, Januário Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the game, Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Ben Fica nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leo Rosio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Arrebimba o Malho SLB lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
