In the 8th match minute, GERLIROJO Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Tomi to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Bartoli during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. GERLIROJO Ψ's Gerardo Montae got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerardo Montaes short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Lúcio Lopes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. GERLIROJO Ψ's Gerardo Montae was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 21st minute Januário Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Rik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Sabino Prestes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fidel Rik. GERLIROJO Ψ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sabino Prestes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to GERLIROJO Ψ getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ciriaco Eguzki hit a great ball. Fidel Rik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Januário Martins in the 27th minute of the match. Fidel Rik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Quim Barreiros went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 34 played minutes Arrebimba o Malho SLB got a freekick which was hit by Sidónio Miguéis. Gerardo Montae made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 45thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Lúcio Lopes would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quim Barreiros to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes GERLIROJO Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Franco. Fidel Rik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidónio Miguéis in the 52nd minute. Fidel Rik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quim Barreiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Arrebimba o Malho SLB booed when GERLIROJO Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Bartoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Montae in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lúcio Lopes saved Arrebimba o Malho SLB from getting behind. When GERLIROJO Ψ's Gerardo Montae in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. GERLIROJO Ψ were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Arrebimba o Malho SLB's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teofilo Maiorga took the corner. Quim Barreiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Fidel Rik made a huge save. Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Lúcio Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Montae in the 68th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Ivo Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fidel Rik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quim Barreiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 77th match minute, GERLIROJO Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Inko to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Sidónio Miguéis in the 78th minute really tested Fidel Rik's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Segundo Galo during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, GERLIROJO Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Galo to maneuver through the defense. GERLIROJO Ψ's Fidel Rik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save GERLIROJO Ψ from getting a goal against them. If Quim Barreiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arrebimba o Malho SLB played a much better game than GERLIROJO Ψ and deserved their victory. The GERLIROJO Ψ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
