Edson Salgado's late challenge caught a LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edson Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. 5 minutes into the match, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Ademir Siqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruud Windmuller narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Washington Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Augusto Novaes in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Ibirama Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ismael Castro hit a great ball. If Edson Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Ademir Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruud Windmuller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Washington Cavalcante made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Luisão Sabóia sent off a good shot on target. Ademir Siqueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruud Windmuller having to make a save. Ruud Windmuller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lamine Yambao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Castro was shown his second yellow card after 26 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ademir Siqueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ruud Windmuller. Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Lamine Yambao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Ademir Siqueira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ruud Windmuller came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC reached it. Lamine Yambao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruud Windmuller having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Ruud Windmuller made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lamine Yambao in the 50th minute of play. Lamine Yambao took the ball and in the 50 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruud Windmuller. Ruud Windmuller dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Washington Cavalcante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Augusto Novaes's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Ruud Windmuller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lamine Yambao in the 59th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC got a freekick which was hit by Kauã Antunes. Lamine Yambao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafa Rossi during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ibirama Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rafa Rossi hit a great ball. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC made a substitution. Edu Negri replaced Roberto Ortiz. After 69 played minutes Ibirama Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Rossi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caio Tróia during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Caio Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Silvério Aparecido was substituted for Zé Paulo Ortiz. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Lamine Yambao slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ruud Windmuller. That made the score 0-2 after 82 minutes of play. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Washington Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lamine Yambao in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruud Windmuller saved Ibirama Futebol Clube from getting behind. Lamine Yambao blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruud Windmuller having to make a save. The LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
