Edson Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Patrick Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Hotz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute Olivedos were awarded a corner. Despidida AFC's Baldomero Asteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Cavalcante in the 18th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Despidida AFC's Ulises Hotz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patrick Miranda. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Mendes in the 23rd minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Baldomero Asteri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albertinho Cavalcante spun around in front of the goal 27 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Despidida AFC's goal. In the 32nd minute Deivid Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atila Edu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Patrick Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goalkeeper Patrick Miranda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ati Cabezudo. When Edson Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Olivedos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edson Mendes couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albertinho Cavalcante was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Despidida AFC defense, Albertinho Cavalcante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baldomero Asteri. The Despidida AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baldomero Asteri should have stopped the shot. Despidida AFC's Baldomero Asteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Mendes in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Olivedos's goal looked a bit too open when Atila Edu came free, but Patrick Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertinho Cavalcante took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomero Asteri. Baldomero Asteri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The supporters of Olivedos booed when Despidida AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Maureo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atila Edu in the 85th minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Patrick Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Edson Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despidida AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
