Ediberto Luz made in the 12th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ecevit Vurgun however managed to control. 15 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Atalay Sami came free, but Marco Beauchesne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Mario Gleason left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Lisboa e Benfica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Mario Gleason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mario Gleason's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilian Martínez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Osman Ali Akçan came free, but Marco Beauchesne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Foster Hirsch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Predators's Emilian Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Gleason in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Predators's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dominic Hahn was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Lisboa e Benfica's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Manual Hope at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Predators. 0-3. After the first half Sport Lisboa e Benfica were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osman Ali Akçan was the one to do the kick off. Predators's Emilian Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Predators from getting a goal against them. Abdulvahit Kongur got a throw-in 57 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Atalay Sami. Mario Gleason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Martínez having to interfere. Emilian Martínez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Gleason in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Mario Gleason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Gleason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilian Martínez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Gleason who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Emilian Martínez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Mario Gleason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdulvahit Kongur during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Gleason was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Beauchesne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atalay Sami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manual Hope charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manual Hope the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th match minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jared Temple to maneuver through the defense. Marco Beauchesne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hüsmen Çubukcu in the 95th minute of the match. The Predators manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Sport Lisboa e Benfica to win.
